If you were to ask Hillary Clinton the question, “Why are you running for president”, you’re going to get some standard, pat answer about being a champion and fighter for the people…to help everyday, normal Americans improve their lives. Hell, you could write that speech in your sleep. But when you dig down to the REAL reason she’s running, it’s simple
She wants to be the first female president in our country’s history. She’s entitled.
And thus, the use of the “gender card” makes its play. With Obama, it was the race card, and you couldn’t attack it. With Hillary, it’s the gender card, and supposedly you can’t attack it either. Unless you’re Carly Fiorina (which would be akin to Ben Carson attacking Obama since they’re both black…well at least half-black in Obama’s case).
Frankly, I get sick and tired of these card games. I don’t care if you’re black or white or green. I don’t care if you are male or female. I don’t care if you’re straight or gay. I don’t care about any of that. Because the only thing that matters is, a) are you going to follow the friggin’ constitution, and b) are you going to align yourself with my way of thinking. If you answer yes to those two issues, I’m yours. Period. We don’t need to have a long, drawn out discussion about why women are shit upon in this country, or why they don’t get paid like men do. If that’s a problem, fix it. If it’s not, then shut up about it.
We have become too politically correct in this country, which is exceedingly troubling to me, since I am about as far from politically correct as you’re ever going to get. I frankly, don’t give a crap about this gender neutrality, or rainbow coalition, or colorless society. I don’t care about rich or poor. And I certainly don’t care about the 1%. You want to know why they have the money and you and I don’t? It’s because they’ve educated themselves better than us, and they’ve worked harder and smarter than us. They made better choices along the way. Period. Give them their due. We had the same abilities to make the same choices and we didn’t for whatever reasons that aren’t important.
No, Hillary playing the gender card is so 1970’s. It doesn’t mean she can run the country any better than anyone else. It doesn’t mean she’s going to be more empathetic toward you and your problems…which is another thing. None of these people on either side care about your problems or my problems. They care about getting elected. Grow up and understand that! And she’s not going to be any more cognizant of deep, dark, hidden leadership skills than anyone either. It boils down to two things. Is the candidate going to follow the constitution, and does the candidate’s way of thinking align with yours? Those are the only questions you need to be asking. And they are varied so you should be able to find one that fits your style and your beliefs. The rest is just window dressing and bullshit.
Carry on world…you’re dismissed!
