To be honest, I can certainly see why during the whole Benghazi thing, Bobo Obama wanted the State Department to adopt the “it’s the internet video, stupid” mantra and forget about the attack on the US Consolate being a terrorist attack. Obama was out on the campaign trail, and every single stop included the lne, “bin Laden is dead, and alQaeda is on the run”. So to have alQaeda blow up a consolate, and kill an Ambassador wouldn’t jive with his overall campaign. I get that.
So, what’s his point today? Why is Bobo so damned determined to paint ISIS with a smaller brush than he should? He is out there trying to make it that these are just a bunch of people who have too much sand in their bathing suits, and we should listen to their complaints, and see what we can do about it. We really shouldn’t have to go in and blow them to Allah and back. What in hell is his story this time?
In my mind, that’s the big problem with Obama. Once he gets something into his head, he can’t let go. He’s pushing it regardless how often he’s proven to be wrong. In fact, regarding ISIS, he has been told by 16 different intelligence organizations that they are a major threat and that we need to do a hell of a lot more to “contrain and destroy” them than what he has, so far, been capable or willing to do. He just doesn’t seem to listen. Well, he may be…he told the Department of Defense to “cut it out!” when it comes to giving the truth to the American public and the media about ISIS.
See, the DOD has over-stepped it’s bounds by telling the public and the media the truth about ISIS. They really had no choice. Back in the day, when we weren’t plugged into watching the war first hand on the internet, you had to basically take what the government gave you and that had to be the truth. Today, it’s a lot easier to know when you’re getting spoon-fed a bunch of caca. We see pictures from the region, we get interviews from both sides of the war, and we can make up our own mind. Regimes like Obama’s hate that. They can’t control the story…even though they would like to.
So, you end up with lies upon lies about how strong our enemy is, or how we’re taking it to them, or how they’re “misunderstood”. Why? I’m not a psychologist, and analyzing Bobo would be a full time job for a team of Vienna-trained shrinks. That man has more issues than Time Magazine. But what’s his REAL problem with ISIS? I personally think he doesn’t want to have to start a war with them…and it’s being viewed as his war. He’d much rather run out the clock without having troops sent into Syria, so the next guy in the White House can claim it as HIS war.
That’s what pacifists do. Oh, we’ve had a few of them that wouldn’t get into war if their lives depended on it. Jimmy Carter didn’t know how to react to the Iranian uprising when they took over the embassy there. Thank God we don’t elect too many pacifists to the Commander-In-Chief role. That is a death blow for this country. A sharp-shooter afraid to pull the trigger type of mentality.
And so it goes with Obama. He’s afraid of war, he’s afraid of foreign policy, and he’s afraid of mixing it up with traditional enemies. That’s why he’s telling Turkey to hold the line when it comes to Russia and shooting down one of their jets. He wants to have others do his dirty work for him so his hands stay clean. It’s what he does. It’s how he sleeps at night. And so, we can all say to Obama, “Cut It Out!”
Carry on world…you’re dismissed!
