So, I’m sitting here this morning, sipping on a nice steamy cup of coffee wondering what if…
WHAT IF…Hillary Clinton actually was indicted for her email scandals?
Well, first of all, it would be the death blow to her candidacy. I guess the real question would be what would the Democrats do? If it happened before Philadelphia’s convention, they could nominate Bernie Sanders and declare Hillary ineligible. If it happened after the convention but before the election, I think they’d probably be screwed. I can recall a time when a vice presidential candidate was replaced after the convention…happened when George McGovern ran. He had Thomas Eagleton as a running mate until it was disclosed that Eagleton had been seeing a psychiatrist. Things were so different back then, and the Democrats scrambled and got rid of him. They replaced him with Sargent Shriver. It didn’t matter. McGovern still got creamed. I’m thinking the same thing would happen if Hillary were indicted before the election. After the election? Wow…talk about a constitution crisis! You’ve got a 4-4 tie on the Supreme Court, and could you void the election? Probably not. It’s never happened that a president-elect had been indicted for a crime before they took office. Of course, if she loses, she’s going to be indicted. And if she wins, she would have to be impeached before facing indictment.
What if…Mitt Romney had actually defeated Barack Obama in 2012?
Would we have ISIS? Would we have an Iranian nuclear arms deal? Would Russia have taken over Crimea? Would we still have some sort of Obamacare? Would the Trans Pacific Partnership have passed? Would Hillary still be running for president against Romney?
I think the damage was done on whether we’d have ISIS in Obama’s first term. But they wouldn’t be nearly as strong and a pain in our side as they are. Romney wouldn’t be so yellow-bellied about fighting them as Bobo is. The Iran deal? Nope. Never would have happened. Russia wouldn’t have annexed Crimea and wouldn’t have tried to take over eastern Ukraine either. I think the TPP would have passed. And Hillary Clinton? A footnote in history. All because about 2.5 million Republicans stayed home and didn’t vote.
What if…it becomes common knowledge that science has been horn-swaggled into going along with “climate change”?
It’s becoming more and more apparent that the climate IS changing, but more and more scientists that had at one time said it was because of man’s introducing carbon into the atmosphere, are now recanting. If that were to become the majority of those scientists that originally backed the liberal view and now are recanting, what’s going to happen to the Kyoto accord, or the Paris accord, or the Bangladesh accord? Well, it’s going to be like a lot of liberal gobble-de-gook that is spewed over time. It’s going to go the way of the do-do bird. And it’s going to never be brought up again. That’s because liberals never, ever admit their mistakes. They never, ever say that they were wrong. And the reason is abundantly clear; if they did, they’d lose all credibility so the next issue they cried wolf on wouldn’t be listened to by anybody. Don’t worry…it’s going to happen. It’s just a matter of time, and in a few years, you won’t be hearing anything about climate change. It’s kind of like the Equal Rights Amendment.
Carry on world…you’re dismissed!
