I thought Donald Trump was making this big stink about voter fraud. I thought he was wrong for doing it because, frankly, he won! It probably wasn’t that big (there is always going to be some voter fraud!), and it didn’t sway the outcome.
But it could have.
There is a professor of political science at Old Dominion University in Virginia that has spent the last few months analyzing this topic. His research has shown that yes, there WAS voter fraud. Basically about 6.4% of the illegal aliens in this country did indeed vote in the election…ILLEGALLY. At translates to about 830,000 votes.
I know what you’re thinking…so what? Hillary won the popular vote by 2.8 million, so now take out the 830,000 and she still wins by two million votes, so what’s the big deal? Well, the big deal is simply what COULD have happened if the election had been like the one in 2000, where about 500 people in Florida decided the election. Take New Hampshire, Nevada, and Maine, all of which Hillary won by less than a total of 830,000 votes, and it could have made a difference, especially had Pennsylvania, Wisconsin, and Michigan hadn’t gone for Trump like they did. It’s not what happened. It’s what COULD have happened, but never SHOULD.
I’ve said for years that there has been voter fraud. Most of it done by the left, though I’m not saying the right isn’t above it. I just look at where most of the voter fraud seems to be occurring. Over the years Chicago has gotten the bad rap for it, whether or not that’s true, I’m not certain…but there are stories circulating that Mayor Daley got John F. Kennedy elected by fraud in 1960 and that’s where it started. This past year, it was Detroit, where there were 700 more votes in one precinct than people living there… and it was in a heavily Democrat area. In 2012, several precincts in Cuyahoga County (Cleveland) had a clean sweep…not one vote was cast in those precincts for Mitt Romney…not one. I find that rather hard to believe.
So, how do you dispel voter fraud? Well, showing an ID is a pretty fair start. Not allowing folks to vote that don’t have ID, or that appear to have already voted is another. I always thought the Middle Eastern countries that have you dip your thumb in some indelible ink is a pretty cool way to stop you from voting more than once. And who could complain that it is “disenfranchising” anyone? You have a right to vote one time…you vote one time and have a purple thumb to prove it. Seems to me it’s a cheap and easy way to make it work.
Then we can tackle all of those dead people that apparently still enjoying coming back to life the first Tuesday after the first Monday in November. I still can’t figure out how that happens!
Carry on world…you’re dismissed!
