On Harvey Weinstein

I haven’t said much about Harvey Weinstein, because frankly, if you’re shocked about what he did, you don’t know anything about the way Hollywood works. Hell, I’m not an actor, and I am about as unshocked as you can get at this. Any woman who ventures to Hollywood looking to be an actress, and doesn’t understand that if you’re good looking you’re probably going to face sexual harassment is kidding herself (and that would probably go for guys too!).

Basically, this is the Anthony Weiner Story all over again. It seems Dems can take pretty much any mistreatment of people, as long as it’s not sexual abuse. If it is, there’s hell to pay. We saw it with Weiner, we’re seeing it with Weinstein. I guess Bill Clinton can only thank God that he wasn’t president in today’s marketplace with all of the screaming going on. He would be cruicified!

Look, make no mistake about it…Harvey Weinstein, if he did this stuff (and it certainly appears that he did, why else would he be at a sex addiction clinic near Phoenix?), he’s pretty much toast. And he will pretty much be facing jail time for what he did. And he should. If you or I acted like this, we’d be wearing orange jump suits quicker than you can say “Hillary Clinton”… who also should be very ashamed of her reaction to all of this (and her company’s). To not give back $250,000 in Weinstein donations, because as the Clinton Foundation puts it, “We have already spent the money to help people around the world”, isn’t an excuse, it’s a cop-out.

And with that…I’m done. This guy is a flea on humanity and needs to be wiped off, just like Anthony Weiner, just like countless other fleas that abuse women (or men), and try to use their power and money to get what they want. There are a lot of very sick people in this world. We cannot begin to allow them to feel “normal” or that their sickness is because of a bad childhood. At some point we need to deal with it, or it will consume us. That you can take to the bank!

Weiner To Get His…

weiner3

Anthony Weiner was sentenced to 21 months in prison this week for sexting an under-aged girl. It’s about time!

Weiner, who wept openly when the punishment was announced had begged that the judge give him probation because he was “fighting his sex addiction problem”. Apparently the judge, also a woman, decided that she needed to make an example of a high-profile pervert and threw the book at him. But she wasn’t as harsh as she could have been. Weiner could have been given a ten year sentence.

Frankly, it’s about time that judges in this country start throwing the book hard and heavy at elected officials, celebrities, and other famous folks who have done wrong and usually get away with either a wrist slap or nothing at all. And yes…I’m looking in your direction, Hillary Clinton. For far too long there has been a double standard of justice in this country. One for the folks that are well known and famous and can afford a bank of attorneys that only the largest corporations in America could afford, and another standard for the rest of us, who usually have to drain our life savings to pay for an attorney (and not a very good one) to walk us through to some plea bargain if we’re lucky.

I would love nothing more than to see those “famous” folks that are found guilty be doing some really hard time in some really ugly places. Think about what happens if you get pulled over for DUI. Think about what happens if you get nailed with embezzlement or theft, or God forbid murder! Now, I’m a law and order kind of guy. If you’re guilty, you should pay the price. But just because you and I have to pay the price doesn’t mean that those people like Anthony Weiner should skate because he’s a former congressman and was married to Hillary Clinton’s aide, Huma Abedin. Oh, by the way, she’s already filed for divorce. It’s probably the smartest thing she’s done in the past 20 years.

It’s about time these judges “make examples” out of people like this. And the same thing should happen on both sides of the aisle. If you’re in congress and you treat the law like toilet paper, you should be in one of the nastiest, dirtiest, grimiest prisons in the land. And if you wake up to someone named Bubba beating the crap out of you every day for what you did, maybe he will beat some sense into you!

If you keep your nose clean in life, you have no worries. If you don’t commit crimes, if you don’t trash the Golden Rule, you shouldn’t have to worry. Oh, I’m not talking about the speeding ticket or parking ticket. I’m talking about crime. Sexting a 15 year old girl is just wrong. I don’t care that you say you’ve got “an addiction”. You are a pervert in that case, and you should be put away. We’ve gotten way too liberal in this society trying to blame all of the crimes people commit on the way they were raised, or they were abused as kids, or their wife doesn’t kiss them good morning enough, or any hogwash like that. You are an adult. Learn to live like an adult or you need to be put away from decent society.

About Time Huma…

Let’s be honest about one thing. I really don’t care one way or another what happens to the marriage of Huma Abedin an Anthony Weiner. I wish them all the best because I never want to see marriages break up, but if anyone is to be forgiven for filing for a divorce, it’s Huma…well, ok…and Hillary. I mean, for cryin’ out loud, Anthony Weiner has a major sex problem (as does Bill), and for Huma to believe it wasn’t there (like Hillary is doing) is just plain wrong. Hillary obviously is in it for convenience. I don’t think that’s the case with Huma.

I’m not here to bash Huma at all on this one. In fact, I thought long and hard about even commenting on this. It’s her business, and she is certainly entitled to do what she needs to do to try and live a semblance of a normal life for her and her son. But I can tell you this…if I had done anything that Anthony Weiner had done, my wife would have bounced me to the curb (and rightfully so) a long time ago. I’m really bamboozled by how these women can forgive a guy for being such a pig. I mean, yes, there has to be something wrong in the wiring upstairs for these guys. But for cryin’ out loud, you don’t help matters by putting up with it. I kind of admire Abedin for having the courage to separate from that idiot, because in this circumstance it’s the right thing to do.

Let’s face it, when you’ve been given three chances to get clean on a sex addiction and you a) lose your job as a congressman over it; b) lose a mayoral race of a major city over it; and c) lose your family over it, I’d say you’ve pretty much hit rock bottom. If Weiner doesn’t want help, that’s his problem…but he has responsibilities to live up to. I mean, he’s a father and a husband, and that means a lot! He was a congressman, and that used to mean a lot. And he treats it like everybody in the country is doing it, which just isn’t true.

In that aspect, I respect Huma Abedin far more than Hillary Clinton. Hillary chose to ignore Bills peccadillos and enable him rather than leave him. It showed that she cared more about what he could do for her in terms of politics than what he brought to the family in terms of stability and love. Some relationships are built that way, and that’s too bad. But I don’t think of Hillary Clinton as a victim in her escapades because she’s helped to bring it on. She was so focused on politics…HER politics that she didn’t do what probably (I’m guessing here) a majority of women in this country would have done if their husband had been guilty of habitually running around on her…which is kicking them out of the house and soaking them in divorce court. But then again, Hillary probably was lying to herself, like she’s lied to the rest of us.

It Keeps Growing, And Growing…

Scandals usually fall into two groups. The first is where something goes wrong, someone finds out about it, it’s either denied as false and later proven it’s false or quickly admitted to, and the guilty party either resigns from office, or is sent the judicial route and jailed. The second group is a little seedier. Here the party involved in the scandal tries everything under the sun to try to convince the world of their innocence. They swear it’s just a misunderstanding and they will be exonerated “when the facts come out”. But something else happens in this group. The facts usually prove to their guilt. And they are steadfast in their innocence. That leads to a standoff. It’s a stalemate. Let’s look at two separate scandals that are actually kind of related.

Remember Anthony Weiner? He was a US Representative from New York. He’s a Democrat. He was a guy that was sexting all of these girls. And yes, he happens to be married. When he was found out, he denied it at first, but it came out that he really didn’t have a defense. So, he resigned his house seat and went into private life…and supposedly rehab. And he was caught again. This time as he was trying to run for Mayor of New York. He finished dead last in the voting. Oh, his wife happens to be one Huma Abedin, an Iranian who happens to be the Chief of Staff of our second subject.

Remember Hillary Clinton? She was at one time the First Lady of Arkansas. She also became US First Lady (FLOTUS) when her hubby Bill, who, like Anthony had some sex problems. Hillary was no stranger to scandal. She made a fortune on some cattle futures while in Arkansas. Then of course there was the Whitewater real estate deal that they Clintons mopped up on. And it seems that Hillary had taken some files belonging to the Rose Law firm to the White House with her. Of course, she explained it all away. It was an honest mistake. Probably just wanted some interesting reading material.

But Hillary hasn’t been able to explain away the current email scandal. It’s important only in the fact that the national security of the United States is at stake. Oh, and she happens to be running for the highest office in the land, and her credibility is nearing rock bottom proportions. She has fallen into the second category we talked about. The evidence is mounting against her, even though she swears she’s done nothing wrong. Nixon did too as I remember…until the very end.

Hillary won’t escape this one. John Cornyn the second most powerful Republican in the Senate is now calling on the Department of Justice to assign a “Special Council” to look into her emails. Now, IF that happens (and it probably won’t seeing who’s in the White House), it’s very serious. Criminal charges usually follow a special council’s appointment. And jail time is usually following that.

No…Hillary isn’t going to win the nomination for president, anymore than Rick Perry is. She still believes she can do it, but there’s no way America will vote for her. Not for the nomination, and certainly not for president. In fact, the only reason she would be considered for the nomination is because there isn’t anybody on the Democrats’ bench. If Joe Biden decides not to run, they really only have Winkin’, Blinkin’, and Nod sitting there. There are no stars in the Democrats’ lineup.
